Shakur Stevenson’s stock is at an all time high at the moment, however he is quickly finding out that everyone knowing how good you are actually has some considerable downsides.
In his lightweight debut this April, Stevenson was in imperious form as he dismantled and stopped Shuichiro Yoshino in six rounds, before quickly calling for fights with some of the division’s elite.
However, things have gone somewhat quiet on the Stevenson front recently, and there is still no news on who his next opponent could be three months on from the Yoshino fight.
Things are clearly getting to the 25 year old, as he took to social media to vent his frustrations and plead for someone to get in the ring with him.
Yo any fighter that want wreck wit me I’m free don’t got no opponent, no date or nun.. So for all the fighters screaming my name reach out it’s free smoke for all of u 😤

Despite the fact all four world titles at 135lbs are currently property of a certain Devin Haney, there are many who still believe that Stevenson is the best fighter in the division and it’s only a matter of time before he has the hardware to prove it.
Having already picked up belts at featherweight and super feather, Stevenson is highly ranked with all governing bodies and is primed to strike should Haney move up to 140lbs and his titles become vacant.
The pair exchanged words after Haney’s razor thin win over Vasiliy Lomachenko in May, and it feels inevitable that they will cross paths sooner or later.
Also on the radar for Stevenson are fights with the likes of Gervonta Davis and Teofimo Lopez, who are themselves both fresh off huge victories against Ryan Garcia and Josh Taylor respectively.
