Shakur Stevenson has been looking ahead to the much anticipated light heavyweight showdown between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol in June.
Stevenson has been making headlines plenty this year but has not yet secured his next fight. He has offered himself up as a replacement for Ryan Garcia should the toured contender not make his fight with Devin Haney on April 20.
He has also briefly retired out of frustration with not being able to get his own big fights, but has now been casting his eye over what might happen between these two decorated champions.
Bivol and Beterbiev come together as the headline fight on the much anticipated Queensbury vs Matchroom 5 v 5 event in Saudi Arabia, which is set to be officially announced on Monday.
They will be battling it out for all four of the major world titles with Bivol coming off solid recent wins over Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Gilberto Ramirez and Beterviev having recently stopped Brits Callum Smith and Anthony Yarde.
Posting in reply to a question about who will come out in top on this mouth-watering clash, Stevenson gave his answer on X.
“I got Bivol but it’s a very hard for him to win”
The contest has split people down the middle which is always the sign of a good fight. Some rate the power of Beterbiev, others prefer the technical efficiency and work rate of Bivol.
