Terence Crawford believes nothing will stand in the way of clashes with Keith Thurman, Errol Spence Jr

One of the brightest talents in boxing today is the former 2-weight world champion, Terence Crawford has recently made his move into the welterweight division official.

He will bid to claim a third world title after relinquishing the undisputed world jr-welterweight title after knocking out Julius Indongo in August 2017.

The welterweight division has long been proclaimed as boxing’s glamour division.

Stellar champions such as Errol Spence Jr and Keith Thurman currently hold three of the major governing body titles in that division. Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford firmly believes he will get the opportunity to take on both of those fighters.

Jeff Horn, it should be noted also holds the WBO welterweight title after winning the title from Manny Pacquiao last summer.

Crawford does not envisage anything will stand in the way as potential roadblocks for those deals to reach completion.

That is despite the fact that Crawford is aligned to Bob Arum’s promotional company, Top Rank. While both Errol Spence Jr and Keith Thurman are tied to Al Haymon’s PBC banner on Showtime.

Arum, however, has somewhat of an amicable relationship with the renown Al Haymon. They have come to agreements in the past for Crawford opponents. ‘Bud’ went on to cite both Felix Diaz and John Molina as examples.

“Of course [I think I’ll fight them], Bob Arum has stated plenty of times that there is nothing stopping us from working with the PBC fighters.”

“If you can recall, Felix Diaz and John Molina were PBC fighters and I fought both of them,” Crawford told Yahoo Sports.

“I don’t think there is anything stopping that. It just has to make sense for both parties.”

“They are not going to send one of their A-side fighters over to ESPN if the deal is not right or make sense;” Crawford added.

“Bob is not going to send me over to Showtime if the deal is not right. It has to be an even playing field,” Crawford concluded.
