Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney will be contending a world title in April and now two-time undisputed champion Terrence Crawford has broken the fight down saying one man ‘is more well-rounded’ than the other.
This fight has been in the headlines plenty these last few weeks as Garcia in particular has been very vocal on social media.
He has called out MMA stars, complained about the ticket price of the fight, and has expressed his unhappiness at the fact it is taking place in Brooklyn at the Barclays Centre rather than in Las Vegas.
That isn’t all, as has also been accused of being drunk at one of the early press conferences, and even leaked sparring footage of his opponent against Gervonta Davis from the Mayweather gym, all as a way of winding up his opponent.
The contest itself takes place on April 20 and sees Haney, who has recently moved up from being undisputed champion in the lightweight division, put the WBC super lightweight belt he won from Regis Prograis late last year on the line.
Now, speaking to Boxing Social, Crawford has revealed how he sees it going and sides with the champion.
“I think it’s a great fight, both of them know each other very well, they’ve been in the ring a lot of times and both of them are young, hungry and know what to do to beat other but I give Devin the edge, he’s more polished, well rounded. The longer the rounds go the more it’s going to go to him.”
