Terence Crawford is no doubt walking on air after his generational performance against Errol Spence Jr this past weekend, however it appears a certain podcaster has irked him.
‘Wallo,’ a host on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, posted screenshots of a private conversation between himself and Crawford regarding a fight against rising welterweight star, Jason ‘Boots’ Ennis.
As well as sharing the messages on social media, Wallo also sent them to Ennis. Needless to say, his actions were not particularly well received by Crawford, judging by the comment he left on the post.
“That’s some weak as s**t Wallo267. I don’t do s**t like that I stand on everything I do or say. But for you to text with me that fake ass s**t then post s**t for attention is definitely not G. That’s clown ass s**t at its finest.”
After witnessing the beating he bestowed upon a world class fighter in Errol Spence, getting on Crawford’s bad side doesn’t seem like a particularly wise move.
As IBF interim world champion, Ennis is one of the names in contention for ‘Bud’s next fight. However, it all depends on whether or not Spence decides to activate a contractual rematch clause.
In the post fight press conference, ‘The Truth’ did express his desire to lock horns with Crawford again, though said he would prefer a second meeting to take place up at super welterweight.
Unfortunately for Spence, he will not get to decide what weight class any such rematch takes place at, as Saturday night’s victor Crawford can now dictate all the terms if they are to do battle again.
A second fight between the two Americans could end up being a difficult sell, such was Crawford’s dominance in Las Vegas.
