A clip of Tommy Fury saying his pregnant fiancé could beat Youtuber KSI in a boxing fight has gone viral, but not for the reasons the ex-Love Island star would have hoped.
Fury, the half brother of current WBC heavyweight champion Tyson, was speaking at the Mayweather versus Deji fight night in Dubai last Sunday. Tommy was the co-feature event and was meant to be taking on Paul Bamba, but after weigh-in chaos the American pulled out of the fight.
Tommy weighed in at 181.4lbs, whereas Bamba tipped the scales at 174.6lb, making the 175lb light heavyweight limit he believed was the agreed weight for the fight. It subsequently came to light that both men had been set different weight limits in their contracts and, after failed negotiations, Bamba was removed from the card.
Fury went on to face last-minute replacement Rolly Lambert in a lacklustre exhibition bout that drew boos from the crowd. The action picked up after the final bell though, as his father, John, ripped off his shirt and attempted to get to Jake Paul who was on commentary duties.
Fury has twice been scheduled to fight Paul, but on both occasions the Brit has pulled out due to injury and more recently visa issues.
Another name he has been linked with in the crossover scene is Youtuber, KSI. When asked about KSI’s boxing potential, Fury answered:
“KSI is not even worth talking about, Molly could beat him and she’s 20 months pregnant. He can’t fight.”

The full term for a pregnancy is 9 months, and Molly is currently believed to be around 7 months gone, slightly less than the 20 Tommy mentioned.
Despite the mistake, the sentiment was clear – and if Fury does ever face KSI, he’ll be aiming to prove that he’s levels above.
