Tony Bellew has revealed who he believes is currently the best fighter in the world – and his answer is unlikely to surprise you.
Pound for pound lists are subjective and often lead to fervent debate amongst boxing fans, however the consensus is that Terence Crawford now stands alone at the top of the pile.
And in a post on his official Twitter account, Bellew admitted he agreed with that view and that Crawford was the number one pound for pound, “no questions asked.”
“Down 3 times and still trying!! I give @ErrolSpenceJr all the credit in the world I really do.. Terrance a Crawford is the best P4P fighter in the world! No questions asked he’s the main man in boxing! His boxing IQ is just unmatched! He downloads what you do and punishes you!”

Crawford’s stunning performance against Errol Spence Jr to claim the undisputed welterweight championship of the world has been lauded as one of the best showings from a fighter of this generation.
Though many had the contest as a 50/50, Crawford proved himself to be a league above the Texan, dominating proceedings before securing a stoppage in the ninth round.
He has since stated his desire to take on undisputed light middleweight world champion Jermell Charlo next, however that will all depend on whether Spence decides to activate a contractual rematch clause.
Though ‘Bud’ is viewed by most as the pound for pound king, there are some who have Japanese dynamo Naoya Inoue as their number one, who was crowned a four weight world champion when he stopped Stephen Fulton just days before Crawford’s win over Spence.
