As the undisputed heavyweight title fight edges closer, Tyson Fury’s preparations for his historic battle against Oleksandr Usyk are well underway, and once again his physique has fans guessing which version of ‘The Gypsy King’ we will see in two months’ time.
Fury famously outboxed long-reigning heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko back in 2015, before a prolonged spell away from the sport.
The Brit adopted that same awkward and rangy style upon his comeback, but made the switch to the aggressive, front-footed ‘Kronk’ approach when he switched trainers from Ben Davison to SugarHill Steward.
He then put together a destructive display to knock out Deontay Wilder in their rematch. Now Fury faces a new challenge against an expert technician in Usyk.
The Ukrainian has the slickest footwork in the division to accompany what many believe to be one of the best boxing brains in the game.
Yet, despite Fury’s obvious physical advantages against the former undisputed cruiserweight champion, the 35-year-old appeared slender and sharp on his Instagram.

It means that he could be expecting to chase Usyk around the ring and engage in a ‘chess match’ sort of bout, rather than attempting to overwhelm the Ukrainian with his power and size.
Meanwhile, Fury’s cut that caused the fight to be postponed for three months appears to have healed well, with almost no signs of the injury when he attended the recent Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou event in Saudi Arabia.
Fury-Usyk will take place on May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, topping yet another blockbuster undercard.
