‘The Gypsy King’ is fresh from stepping up the next stage of his comeback effort, he is scheduled to be back in the ring for the first time since late 2015 when he returns on June 9th in front of a home crowd in Manchester.
Discussing the reasons for making this comeback, Tyson Fury shared that he felt had a point to prove to heavyweight rival, Deontay Wilder after ‘The Bronze Bomber’ had written off his chances.
“It was really Deontay Wilder who spurred me on and gave me the ambition to return.”
He said I couldn’t do it. He said,’ Tyson Fury, he’s done’.
Fury also detailed that a pivotal moment for him came as he was taking a stroll with his dog.

“I was walking along the canal with my dog at the time, I thought, ‘You know what, I’m a fat pig. Look at the state of me’.
“I felt like jumping in the water and drowning.”
“Then I thought I’m going to turn this around and knock him out,” Fury added.
The former unified world heavyweight king then jokingly added that he can defeat Wilder only using one hand.
“I can tie one hand behind my back and beat Wilder.”
“They can pick which one they want, left hand, right hand. That’s how confident I am in my own ability.”

Furthermore, Fury went on to add on a serious note, that he is ready and willing to take on anyone in the division once he gets a few warm-up fights under his belt.
Fury estimated that while they may be good fighters, he has confidence in his own ability that he will prove too skilful for them.
“When I’m ready for these guys, in a couple of fights, a couple of warm-up fights, then I’ll take them. I’ll take on anybody, I don’t fear anybody.
“They’re all very good fighters and champions but I think my talent, confidence and skill alone is enough to beat these fellas.”
“We’re working on it and will name him (the opponent) in the next couple of weeks.”
