Tyson Fury caught up with the Daily Express to discuss all things boxing. ‘The Gypsy King’ is embarking on his comeback and returns to the ring on June 9th.
Fury, however, shared that he will not be altering his boxing and moving style when he returns.
“My boxing skill and style is what it is. I wouldn’t change it because it’s a winning recipe. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” he said.
“Some people are natural, come-forward, aggressive fighters and some people have mastered the sweet science like Floyd Mayweather and myself.”
“He’s mastered the art of boxing, hitting people and getting nothing in return and so have I, and that is what it is,” Fury added.

Many have compared Joshua’s rise through the heavyweight division reeling off knockout after knockout as being similar to the memorable rise of the youngest heavyweight champion of all time, Mike Tyson during the mid-1980’s.
Fury, however, disputes those comparisons and says none of his potential rivals can be compared to the former undisputed heavyweight kingpin of the late 1980’s.
“If you go back to the days of Mike Tyson, he set the division on fire, people wanted to watch it,” he continued.
“Although these guys are knocking people out, nobody is knocking the door down to watch their fights really.”

“They’re popular and people watch them but Joshua or Wilder combined ain’t no Mike Tyson in the 80s or early 90s.”
Fury then shared a word of warning with his heavyweight rivals and how their styles of fighting will eventually take a toll.
“Quick flashes in the pan are the come-forward aggressors who take punishment”

It has been said that Joshua’s meteoric rise to stardom coupled with Deontay Wilder’s string of knockouts has rejuvinated a sport crying out for a new star following Floyd Mayweather Jr’s retirement.
Fury also stated that the standout names in boxing history have been fighters with the hit and don’t get hit mindset.
‘The Gypsy King’ added, “Even looking at boxing, the biggest draw is, or was, a boxer – Floyd Mayweather.”
Fury continued: “Muhammad Ali, Ray Robinson, Floyd Mayweather. All the great longevity fighters have all been boxers.
