Tyson Fury is no longer interested whether he fights Oleksandr Usyk or not – according to his father, John.
The head of the Fury family firmly lays the blame with the Ukrainian as to why a deal to make the undisputed clash fell apart earlier this year.
Earlier in the week John already claimed the clash fans are calling for would ‘never’ happen unless the unified champion ‘tells the truth’ about the fight collapse.
“That little Ukrainian rabbit doesn’t want to fight Tyson, but what he’s trying to do, he’s trying to kill two birds with one stone. Turn the public against Tyson – which they’ve done a good job of because the public’s daft anyway. He thinks the Saudis are gonna pay him silly money.
Well I’ve got news for you – you’re gonna wait a long time. Unless he gets on the video and tells the truth of what he did, there will never be a fight for Usyk. If it ever does come off, [it will be] when he apologises for trying to bamboozle the public.”
Now he’s gone one step further and revealed that Tyson himself is no longer bothered about the fight.
“Right now Tyson is king of the ring and he’s king of the politics as well.
Now he’s done what he’s done Tyson isn’t interested in whether he fights him or not. Tyson isn’t interested in boxing him or not and that’s the truth.”
Saudi Arabia are ready to test the Fury family’s resolve after confirming they are set to receive a ‘premium offer’ from the oil rich nation to host the undisputed fight in December.
