WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, has spoken about what he might do after he eventually hangs up the gloves.
Fury has teased retirement on a couple of occasions, most recently after his victory over Dillian Whyte in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley stadium in April 2022. Fans were sceptical about Fury’s hiatus from the get go and after 6 months he officially reversed his decision and faced off against old foe Derek Chisora for a third time.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Fury told that he may be interested in life as a trainer once he retires for good, and could even document his transition in another Netflix series, following the release of ‘At Home With The Fury’s’, which was released last week.
“I could maybe see myself doing another Netflix show later on, with me training and managing fighters, the next world heavyweight champion or next champions of Britain. That could be fun.”
“I don’t really have any ambitions of doing anything like that [working in television], I just want to train every day, be healthy and be a Dad, basically.”
Fury also revealed that he is releasing some more retail products, following up on his ‘Furocity’ energy drinks and protein bars, which hit stores last year.
“I’m bringing a perfume out, an aftershave. I was bringing a beard-trimmer out, even though I’ve got no beard at the moment. What else is there? I’m not entirely sure. A movie of my life, or I could act in a movie? Other than that though, I just want to bring my family up and enjoy life.”
For now at least, Fury must remain focussed on his upcoming showdown with Ngannou, which takes place on October 28th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
