# Tyson Fury Brands Rival A ‘Nobody’: “He Couldn’t Sell Out A Leisure Centre”

WBC Heavyweight Champion, Tyson Fury, has insulted the selling power one of his fellow ‘big men.’

Fury has been linked to a showdown with Oleksandr Usyk for around a year now, with the historic bout being one of the most demanded match-ups in boxing.

If the two face off, it would crown a first king of the four-belt era and the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 2000.

Despite that, talks fell apart in Spring and ever since [‘The Gypsy King’ has shown a lack of interest in facing Usyk](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/tyson-fury-only-way-fights-usyk/) in the future.

More recently, [in an interview with TNT Sports](https://www.tntsports.co.uk/boxing/tyson-fury-exclusive-gypsy-king-tells-rio-ferdinand-that-he-is-open-to-oleksandr-usyk-fight-if-the-m_sto9813488/story.shtml), Fury claimed he’d be open to a battle with the WBA, WBO and IBF champion if he was willing to take a much smaller piece of the purse.

> “The fans want it \[Usyk v Fury\], if the money’s there, we’ll do it,”
>
> “Why in the world would I want to fight him for no money? He’s got zero personality, he’s an ugly b\*\*\*\*\* with gappy teeth, and he’s half the size of me.
>
> “So it’s all to gain for him and nothing to gain for me. If I beat him it’s like ‘oh well he beat a middleweight’. If he beats me, he beat the legendary Tyson Fury, for no money.”
>
> “If you put Oleksandr Usyk in Morecambe in a leisure centre, he wouldn’t sell it out. I beat Ed Sheeran at Wembley, and Adele \[in attendance figures\]. The Gypsy King on top of the pile, 94,000 \[people\].
>
> “So you know what I mean? And then I offer him \[Usyk\] 30 per cent of a large bag, and they say no, they want more. On what merit do you deserve more? I’m a superstar, you’re a nobody.

Usyk’s latest defence against Daniel Dubois in Poland was reportedly attended by over 40,000 fans.

Before talks of the undisputed clash can officially re-commence, Fury must first defeat Francis Ngannou in the ‘Battle of the Baddest’ on October 28 in Saudi Arabia, which is [available to watch live via TNT Sports PPV](https://www.tntsports.co.uk/boxing/tyson-fury-v-francis-ngannou-in-saudi-arabia-to-be-shown-exclusively-live-on-tnt-sports-box-office-i_sto9784277/story.shtml).
