Even before the official announcement of their undisputed fight, Tyson Fury was goading Oleksandr Usyk during a recent Champions Gala.
In the lead-up to Fury’s fight with Francis Ngannou in October, a huge dinner was arranged featuring scores of world boxing champions from across multiple weights and several generations.
Now, Top Rank has shared some new and previously unseen footage of the legends all being assembled for a photo on X saying ‘Tyson Fury never misses an opportunity.’
The clip shows Fury standing at the back shouting out taunts at Usyk who is standing a few rows in front.
“I’m going to get you Usyk. I’m going to get you.”

At that point, it was widely believed that Fury and Usyk would announce their historic undisputed fight for December 23 in the ring afterwards.
However, MMA fighter Ngannou turned in a good performance on his boxing debut and pushed Fury for the full ten rounds, including knocking him down in the third.
He lost a split decision on points but did enough to put the brakes on the undisputed fight, a least for a short time.
There was a tepid coming together between Fury – who is said to have been left ‘very frustrated’ – and Usyk in the ring afterward but no official word of when the first undisputed fight in 24 years might happen.
Since then, and much to the delight of fight fans, it has officially been announced for February 17 and the official press conference led to more confrontation between the two with Usyk telling Fury ‘not to touch’ him.
