Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are still to meet in the boxing ring but they have now met each other out in Saudi Arabia ahead of them both having huge fights in the Kingdom and it has been followed by Fury sending a warning to his British rival.
Saudi Arabia’s influence on boxing has been huge in the last couple of years, and things that never before seemed possible are now materialising.
That could be crossover fights between MMA stars and boxing world champions, fight cards pitting rival promotional companies against one another or simply the coming together of boxers who have never previously been in the same room as one another.
Despite how friendly it might look on the surface, Fury took to socials to issue a warning to Joshua, who earlier in the week predicted that Usyk would win the upcoming undisputed fight on May 18.
Fury wasn’t too happy at that and said exactly what he thought with his words shared in a new post on X by Queensberry Promotions.
“Only in AJ’s dreams can Usyk ever beat me! I’ll wipe the floor with both you bums!”
Truth is, Joshua might prefer for Fury to win the four-belt world title contest because it is thought that should he also win his fight against Ngannou this weekend, the pair could then finally come to blows, even though Carl Froch has his concerns about the fight.
