Tyson Fury was the happiest man at the press conference for his fight against Dereck Chisora today – due to receiving bet winnings at the expense of his promoter Frank Warren.
Fury lauded £10,000 cash in front of the media, saying it was from a bet placed with Warren on whether or not Anthony Joshua would agree to fight ‘The Gypsy King.”
The hilarious footage was posted to Frank Warren’s official Twitter account.
“I bet that Joshua wouldn’t sign the fight contract – now I’ve got £10K!”
“Frank Warren said he would sign it, I told him I bet you ten grand he won’t – now I’ve got ten bar, get up!”
“Tax free money – you know where that’s going on the way home, don’t you?”
💰 @Tyson_Fury had a bet with Frank Warren that Anthony Joshua wouldn’t take his offer to fight. Now he’s £10k richer.

Fury has been on the receiving end of some goliath fight purses over the years, however the nice cash sum is still surely a nice consolation for the collapse in negotiations for the AJ fight.
Although it probably hurt Frank to hand over the winnings, he’s bound to have made enough money from Fury over the years to let this one go!
Fury and Chisora locked horns twice in the early stages of their careers, with ‘The Gypsy King’ emerging a comfortable winner on both occasions, stopping Chisora in their second fight in 2015.
