Otto Wallin has predicted a winner for when Deontay Wilder and Joseph Parker come together on December 23.
It also features Wallin himself, facing a motivated Anthony Joshua, Jarrell Miller versus Daniel Dubois and Dmitry Bivol versus Lyndon Arthur, amongst others.
Wilder against Parker is an intriguing clash that pits two former world champions against one another with Parker’s promoter confident he can win by KO.
The American is a power puncher who relies on his potent right hand, while Parker is more of a boxer-fighter who has fought many top-level heavyweights but has come unstuck against Joshua, Dillian Whyte and Joe Joyce.
He has been active this year however, with three wins already under his belt. Wilder, on the other hand, has not even had two rounds in the last two years having knocked out Helenius in one back in October last year.
Speaking to TalkSport, Wallin was asked how he saw the fight between Wilder and Parker and sided with the American.
“I see Wilder as the favourite but I don’t think it’s going to be easy. Parker is a great fighter and he has been active whereas Wilder has not which I think might be a problem for Wilder.”
The southpaw contender then had some advice for Parker about how to approach the fight.
“With Parker, I think he really has to let it all hang and go after him. I watched his fight yesterday with Joshua and he has to take it to Wilder cause if he stays on the outside he’s going to get knocked out.”
Wallin will be hoping to get through his own battle with Joshua as he continues his case for a world title fight in 2024.
