Wasserman Boxing launch ‘The Development Series’ on Thursday November 25 at London’s iconic York Hall and are excited to announce Boxing Social as the exclusive broadcast partner in the UK and Ireland for the first event.
“We’re delighted to be partnering with Boxing Social to give fight fans in the UK and Ireland the chance to witness the future stars of British boxing at our inaugural development series event,” said promoter Nisse Sauerland.
“This series is all about developing young fighters and giving them the chance to shine. We look forward to kicking things off with an incredible event at the legendary York Hall on November 25. From Flyweights to Heavyweights, we have a card stacked with talent, and we believe Boxing Social will provide a great platform for the fighters to showcase their skills to a new audience.”
“I’m delighted to be working with the team at Wasserman Boxing on this exciting new venture,” said Rob Tebbutt, Managing Director of Boxing Social.
“There has never been a more exciting time to be in boxing, with more shows than ever before, and to be involved in showcasing the next generation of talent is a fantastic opportunity for Boxing Social to be a part of.
“Having free-to-air boxing on Boxing Social is something that we have always been keen to do, and we feel this is the perfect opportunity to deliver a high-quality product to our audience across Facebook and YouTube in the United Kingdom and Ireland.”
Harvey Horn (9-0, 2 KOs) tops an action-packed bill in East London as the WBO European Champion headlines the first Wasserman Boxing ‘The Development Series’ event. Horn takes on tough Nicaraguan Jerson Ortiz (17-4, 8 KOs) in a ten-round contest following the withdrawal of Julien Roeder with injury.
Top Heavyweight prospects Hosea Stewart and Matty Harris will make their professional debuts having signed promotional terms with Wasserman Boxing. Stewart, who was handpicked by Anthony Joshua as a sparring partner for his fight with Kubrat Pulev, will face Artur Kubiak, while the hotly tipped Harris will meet Bulgaria’s Mladen Manev.
Also in action is Adam Booth trained Super Welterweight Ryan Martin against Angel Emilov, former Team GB Flyweight debutant Chloe Watson, Dutch Super Middleweight Martin Foru versus Pavol Garaj, Harvey Horn’s younger brother Louis Horn debuting in the Lightweight division against Jakub Laskowski, and Welterweight amateur standout ‘The Show Stopper’ Saqib Khan.
