If you still had any doubts about the power of Gervonta Davis, we can put them to rest. ‘Tank’ stayed true to his name and mauled Liam Walsh this past Saturday night inside three rounds retaining his IBF super-featherweight title.

The Copper Box Arena in London saw what Floyd calls ‘the future of boxing’. Already people are talking about Davis possibly fighting Vasyl Lomachenko next but Mayweather says not just yet.
“There’s no rush, Lomachenko has to rush because he’s 30 years old, so he has to rush. This kid [Davis] is still young so we’re going to take our time. We’re not ducking and diving any opponent, but we’re not focused on any other opponents right now,” Mayweather said via ESPN.com
“We’re not throwing any names out there but whoever takes the fight Gervonta has an equalizer that can change the fight. We put him in this position [making a first defence in London] because we believe this kid can fight and he will be a superstar,” Floyd continued.
Davis himself mentioned that he had no struggles against Walsh and even told him that during the fight.
“I took my time, I thought we were going to go the distance. I was telling him he was too slow,” said Davis.
Davis now holds a record of 18-0 with 17 victories coming via stoppage.
