# Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez Names Chocolatito, Edwards, Estrada As Future Options

WBC Super Flyweight champion Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez (15-0, 10 KOs) plans to live up to the hype created [after his sensational performance against Carlos Cuadras](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/brilliant-bam-too-good-for-cuadras-picks-up-wbc-super-flyweight-title/).

Back in February the 22-year-old [shone throughout every round of the 12](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/STuJCvaEjLU) he used to beat the former title holder.

Rodriguez has plans to move back down to flyweight before returning to 115lbs but first he has business to take care of. A first defence against two-time [Chocolatito Gonzalez](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/diamonds-are-forever-chocolatito-shuts-down-martinez/) conqueror [Srisaket Sor Rungvisai](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/srisaket-halts-kwanthai-in-three-awaits-estrada-gonzalez-winner/) (50-5-1, 43 KOs) on Saturday night which headlines Eddie Hearn’s bumper card in San Antonio.

In a Matchroom press release Rodriguez said:

> “I’ve seen a lot on social media saying I am the new Choccy and that’s a lot of motivation and I want to live up to the hype.”
>
> “Rungvisai has been in with the best and beating him would really boost my confidence and skyrocket my career. I feel a lot stronger than I did against Cuadras. That wasn’t a fluke, I want to show I am the real deal.”
>
> “It’s possibly the toughest test you could face in a first defence of my title but like with the Cuadras fight, I had no hesitation because I am here to takeover.”

The Texan southpaw then named a host of fighters he would like to face between flyweight and super flyweight:

> “There’s so many good fighters, I’d love to fight Estrada and Chocolatito and then at 112lbs there’s Julio Cesar Martinez (who also fights on Saturday), [Sunny Edwards](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/edwards-outclasses-waseem-to-retain-world-flyweight-title/), Junto Nakatani; there’s so many great names and I would love to fight them all.”
