Dillian Whyte has finally broken his silence over the ongoing heavyweight saga involving himself and three of his rivals.
The WBC Interim titlist has been mandated to fight the organisation’s champion Tyson Fury with purse bids scheduled to go ahead today. Whyte’s shot at the heavyweight title has been thrown into doubt as the teams behind ‘The Gypsy King’ and Oleksandr Usyk, who holds the remaining three belts, look to seal a deal for an undisputed fight.
Whyte has remained quiet throughout the speculation and multiple stories in the media but took to Instagram yesterday to share some thoughts of his own.
Looking mean and moody, and draped in sweat during training ‘The Bodysnatcher’ wrote: “I just want fucking war. That’s all I want is to go to war with the best @gypsyking01 @anthonyjoshua @eddiehearn fuck all this he said she said BS.”
The Londoner has never been one to mince his words but he, just like Fury who has put out his own thoughts on video, appears to be growing tired of the whole situation.
Interestingly, however, Fury did reply to Whyte’s comments saying, “Good man, let the wars begin”.
Whyte is still trying to resolve the matter of a 20% split put to him by the WBC for a fight against Fury. The 34-year-old’s team believe their man to be worth more and are attempting to resolve the legal dispute with the governing body.
