Dillian Whyte made a strong statement on Saturday night by knocking out Lucas Browne out cold in the sixth round at the O2 in London.
‘The Body Snatcher’ has been chasing a title shot against the WBC World heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and with his latest performance he is closer than ever.

Ever since his defeat to Anthony Joshua in late 2015, The WBC Silver heavyweight champion has been on a roll and he’s currently riding a hot streak of seven wins including victories over Dereck Chisora, Ian Lewison, Dave Allen, Robert Helenius, and now Browne.
It didn’t took long for Whyte to call out ‘The Bronze Bomber’ after his fight.

“Listen, Deontay Wilder where you at? Where you at? June, let’s go! Let’s go! Wilder let’s get it, I’m ready! No more excuses. Forget Joshua, Joshua’s not gonna be ready in time. Let’s do this! June at the O2, I’m number one baby! Let’s go!” shouted Whyte directly at the camera during his post-fight interview.
Whyte has been looking for a fight against Wilder for a while now but the American has declined offers to fight the Londoner but he did respond to Whyte’s call out on Twitter.

Another fight Wilder will be keeping a close eye on is the upcoming heavyweight unification bout between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker this week in Cardiff.
According to reports, Wilder will be sitting ringside at the Principality Stadium and he’s made it clear that Joshua is his main target. But should the WBC call for the mandatory defence against Whyte, there is a possibility Wilder will face Whyte in June and the winner will get Joshua later in the year should ‘AJ’ prevail against Parker this Saturday.
