# Deontay Wilder Admits There’s A “Great Chance” He Loses His Next Fight

Deontay Wilder is preparing for his fight against Joseph Parker in just a few weeks, but the usually-confident ‘Bronze Bomber’ has admitted that his fellow former champion has a ‘great chance’ of pulling off the upset.

Wilder has competed in just one round of boxing since losing to Tyson Fury in October 2021, [stopping Robert Helenius with seconds to go in the opening round](https://talksport.com/sport/boxing/1525473/deontay-wilder-cried-brutal-ko-robert-helenius-unconscious-eyes-open/) of their bout last year.

After another spell of inactivity, Wilder is aiming to tee-up a showdown with Anthony Joshua before mounting a world title challenge.

Before that can happen he remains fully-focused on Parker, who he told [Instant Casino](https://www.instantcasino.com/) has a ‘great chance’ of victory.

> “Otto Wallin has got a huge chance to upset the fight \[with Anthony Joshua\]. Everyone has got a chance, it depends what dog they bring to the fight and how hungry they are on the night. Even Parker, he has a great deal of a chance, no matter how hard I hit, or what I possess.
>
> “He has as much chance as I, because I still have to perform and bring my training and preparation. Parker has stated many times that he’s a new man and new fighter, and when we came face-to-face he looked very confident.
>
> “He really believed in his words and after feeling his energy, it allowed me to come home and train even harder, because I know what I am up against. That’s all a fighter wants from another fighter – that they come and they bring their best.
>
> “I’m coming to bring my all, you’re looking at a man that is willing to die in the ring, I’ve proved that many times and it’s not going to stop until the end of my career.”

Wilder-Parker will take place on December 23 [on card that also features Joshua-Otto Wallin](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/carl-froch-says-who-should-headline-december-23-joshua-or-wilder/) and can be streamed live on DAZN PPV.
