British light-heavyweight contender Anthony Yarde will no longer feature on this weekend’s Arthur-Faraci card at the Royal Albert Hall, after a suitable replacement could not be found for injured opponent Emin Atra.
Germany’s Atra (17-0, 12 KOs) was ruled out after sustaining injury, and Yarde now faces a wait to step into the ring for the first time since his split decision loss to compatriot Lyndon Arthur in December 2020.
In a statement made via social media, Frank Warren confirmed Saturday’s event will go ahead as planned despite the withdrawal of Anthony Yarde.
“Unfortunately, Anthony Yarde is no longer fighting this weekend,” Warren said. “Emin Atra withdrew with injury and we have been unable to agree a suitable replacement. The show goes on, with our big Light Heavy main event unaffected.”
