The talk about the rematch against Wladimir Klitschko is increasing on a weekly basis. Last week Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said that ‘it looks like the fight is going to happen’. Klitschko still hasn’t given an official response but according to people close to him he is leaning seriously towards accepting the fight. Hearn himself said that an official announcement will be made by the end of June.

Joshua still needs approval from the IBF though. Mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev has stated that he wants to fight Joshua next. If the IBF grants a ‘special exception’, then Hearn and Joshua can push Pulev aside officially and focus on Klitschko.
