Eubank Jr posted on his verified X account: “Just so we’re all clear, I am a completely FREE agent.. No ties, No promoter, & No limits.”

Recent reports from Boxing Social suggest that Eubank Jr is needed Down Under for a high-profile clash with polarizing Australian Michael Zerafa

Zerafa (34-5, 22 KOs) comes off a controversial no-contest to Nikita Tszyu, which was stopped by the doctor in the third round. The Australian was booed out of the ring and received strong criticism for repeatedly asking for the doctor’s assistance following a clash of heads.

The Zerafa-Eubank Jr fight is reportedly scheduled for September and to be broadcast on Australian pay-per-view.

The middleweight division lays in some turmoil due to Janibek Alimkhanuly being stripped of his IBF world title for a failed performance enhancing drug test. However, the WBO world title remains in the hands for now.

While Eubank Jr holds no top 15 ranking within any of the four governing bodies, Zerafa is currently ranked in sixth place by the WBO.
