It can be tough to keep track of all the boxing news that is out there. The sport moves quickly; there are changes going on behind the scenes, with some fighters on a monthly basis and an array of emerging stars to keep tabs on. In fact, given the popularity of the sport, there is always a new name on the scene. In 2024, there are some fine prospects who are well worth following.
For fans of boxing, these bright talents are a pleasure to watch in the early stages of their careers as you witness them develop into potential world champions one day. From there, those in the know can join them on their journeys to the top, follow them on social media, watch them on YouTube, and even back them for any future big match-ups when it comes to boxing. For example, while he tends to divide opinion these days, Tyson Fury’s career has clearly been fascinating to follow for those who supported him from day one. He isn’t the only boxer who has experienced a remarkable rise to the top, though, and there appears to be plenty more to come.
So, with boxing’s finest prospects aiming to put on memorable shows in 2024 as they hope to become household names in the future, let’s take a brief look at some of them below.
Abdullah Mason is catching the eye
Currently undefeated in his 13 fights and with 9 knockouts to his name, Abdullah Mason is a fighter who is catching the eye of fans and experts alike. Aged just 20, he has already been compared to the likes of Floyd Mayweather, although he clearly has a lot to learn before he’s anywhere near that level. Overall, though, Abdullah Mason is definitely one of the most fascinating fighters currently working their way up the ranks. The southpaw has star potential, that’s for sure.
Ben Whittaker is a great entertainer
While the aforementioned Tyson Fury tends to divide opinion, Ben Whittaker is arguably on another level after his showboating antics have seen him annoy quite a few opponents already. The English professional has risen to become a professional after winning a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Since then, Whittaker has evolved further to become one of boxing’s most exciting figures. Signed to Boxxer, the flashy and outspoken fighter is a personality you’ll undoubtedly see a lot more of in the future, particularly if you follow light heavyweights.
Caroline Dubois is a dangerous opponent
It’s great to see women’s boxing gathering serious momentum. A female boxer who is behind a lot of its attention right now is Caroline Dubois, the younger sister of resurgent heavyweight boxer Daniel Dubois. She just keeps on winning, with 5 KOs highlighting the dangerous power that has seen his rise quickly up the ranks to become one of the biggest stars of today, particularly in the UK. The women’s lightweight division is competitive, though, but Caroline Dubois appears to be ready after managing to achieve a record of 8-0 at the time of writing.
Curmel Moton is exciting a lot of people
Every now and then, a fighter announces themselves and showcases their bright future through some exciting displays. Curmel Moton is one of them after stealing numerous shows at amateur level, resulting in 18 national wins, before being snapped up for professional fights. A fighter Floyd Mayweather rates highly and even mentors, the featherweight has some maturing to do but he appears to have the ingredients needed to reach the very top of the boxing game.
Nikita Tszyu is a big talent
One of two boxing sons of the great Kostya Tszyu, Nikita Tszyu is a man on a mission. While the pressure of replicating his father’s success in the ring will surely be there, his undoubted ability could take him a long way. The super-welterweight has already recorded some impressive victories, most notably seeing off Dylan Biggs for the Australian super-welterweight title. Now, with a record of 9-0, including 8 KOs that really showcased his ability, Nikita Tszyu is a fighter definitely worth following.
Najee Lopez is a complete fighter
Despite being at the tender age of 24, Najee Lopez is a fighter who seemingly has it all. From his intelligence in the ring to his undisputed power, the light heavyweight has already seen off plenty of experienced professionals, but a move back up to heavyweight could also be on the cards in the future. Which direction he will decide to go down is unknown, but one thing’s for sure: Najee Lopez is special, and it’s only a matter of time before there’s more attention coming his way.

Amari Jones could dominate soon
Despite the super welterweight division being widely regarded as a fairly shallow one, it’s still hard to ignore the potential Amari Jones is showing. Tipped to reach the top of his weight class in the near future, Jones already has 12 fights to his name, with some notable knockouts helping him to stand even more out. Signed to Devin Haney Promotions, his most spectacular wins so far were arguably against both Quilisto Madera and Chino Hill, but Jones could face even tougher tests in the future. The American clearly has no fear, though, and looks set to become one of the division’s most feared fighters.
Special mention must also go to Bakhodir Jalolov, Elijah Garcia, Bader Samreen, Ashton Sylve, Jose Salas, Herbert Conceicao Sousa, Yoenis Tellez, and Floyd Schofield Jr.
