I’ve met Tommy a few times and he’s a very nice guy, and he’s a great fighter.”
Paul vs Fury was finally put to paper last week, and the pair had an in ring face off before Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde in London at the OVO Arena.
The pair have already signed to fight twice, however Fury withdrew both occasions – once due to injury and a second time after being denied entry into the United States.
The clash is widely tipped to be the toughest test of both men’s careers thus far, with Paul having faced mainly MMA fighters and Fury’s professional opponents consisting almost entirely of unheralded journeymen
‘The Problem Child’ secured a career best win last time out with a unanimous decision win over legendary UFC fighter and Anderson Silva, who also has professional boxing experience.
Tommy, brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson, was last seen out in an exhibition bout on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather vs Deji at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.
There is reportedly a rematch clause in place for Paul should he taste defeat, however the Brit has not been afforded the same luxury and knows he will only get one chance at toppling his hubristic foe.
