The self-proclaimed pound-for-pound king Andre Ward has now defeated Sergey Kovalev twice and is ready to take on his next challenge.
Ward is looking for something big and might even possibly move up to heavyweight. When asked about fighting heavyweight superstar Anthony Joshua, Ward had a clear answer.
“Anything is possible,” replied Ward according to the Daily Mail.
There is the possibility of moving up to heavyweight but Ward is not counting out cruiserweight. As long as it’s something very significant, Ward is ready to fight.
“Maybe cruiserweight, I don’t know. Cruiserweight, heavyweight, that’s always been a dream of mine. It’s gotta be the right guy, but I dream big,” said Ward
Joshua obviously still has a lot on his plate and a fight against Ward would be very tough to arrange. The heavyweight champion is set to fight Wladimir Klitschko for the second time later this year. After that, he still has two mandatory challengers waiting in Kubrat Pulev and Luis Ortiz. Also, there is the highly anticipated heavyweight showdown against Tyson Fury.
