Anthony Joshua recently declared following his victory against Joseph Parker to unify the WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO world heavyweight titles that he intends to unify all the titles in the heavyweight division.
He has looked to put action behind his words, by making an offer to ‘The Bronze Bomber’ believed to be in the region of $12.5m.
Wilder and his team are believed to have scoffed at that first offer, furthermore, the American’s team estimates that the unification clash for the undisputed world heavyweight title will be worth $100m.

Joshua has offered his response to that situation and attempted to call their bluff.
‘AJ’ claims if it is indeed a $100m fight as they believed, he will step back from his original stance of a 60-40 split and happily accept a 50-50 offer and sign on the dotted line tomorrow if he was offered $50m.
“If it is a $100 million fight and they are happy with taking 60-40, I’ll take 50-50.”
“Give me $50 million dollars up front and I swear I’ll take that fight tomorrow,” Joshua told Sky Sports.
Joshua went on to share his opinion that the American is living in a fairytale world and just wants to talk and hype the fight without actually planning to put the event together.

“They’re not making offers like that, but they’re talking about it, so it’s not real.”
“We offered them a lucrative deal and we are just waiting to hear if he’s serious or not.”
Joshua also took aim at ‘The Bronze Bomber’ team’s insistence on creating drama on social media as opposed to direct correspondence between both teams via email.
“They like to jump on social media, rather than emailing us back in a professional manner.”
“I don’t understand where they’re coming from. Nevertheless, there’s many heavyweights out there that are serious.”
Joshua says the mammoth showdown between the pair must take place because they owe it to boxing history.

Joshua commented that when heavyweight rivals are billed up to face off in a mammoth showdown. History shows the fight will eventually come to fruition.
“It has to happen. There’s not really been many fights in the heavyweight division in history that haven’t happened. When you’re talking about championship level.”
“In terms of history, I think that this fight has to happen because it wouldn’t be great for this era of boxing if it doesn’t happen.”
