Last week Joseph Parker made headlines when he called Anthony Joshua the ‘king of steroids’ during a radio show interview.
The WBO World heavyweight champion’s comments were met with displeasure since Joshua has never failed a drug test in his career. Parker then later on apologised for the comment and his promoter David Higgins also gave a statement.

āI donāt think Anthony Joshua does steroids. I think he trains very hard to the point of boring.
āI donāt know why [Parker said it]. The advice from myself will be to drop it and stick to the things we know,” said Higgins in an interview with Radio Sport.
Naturally, Joshua caught wind of the comments and has given a response.
Parker, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder have all accused Joshua of using performance enhancing drugs. But apparently, the comment Parker made was the last straw.
āThree times itās happened.
“If you want to use it as a PR stunt carry on using it as a PR stunt, but letās just talk about the facts if you want to talk real.
“It gets under my skin,” admitted Joshua in an interview with The Guardian.

Joshua also responded to Parker’s ‘glass jaw’ remarks.
“If heās better than me, quicker than me, tougher than me, it will take a lot to put me away because I wonāt stop coming,” told ‘AJ.’
According to Joshua, the drug testing is strict and random. No matter the location or time and date – they will show up.
āI give them a slot and they can turn up anywhere, if Iām on holiday, at a hotel, at a club. I just text them and say Iām going to be here. You have to let them know. I normally give them the time when Iām going to be in the gym training for the opportunity,” explained the WBA, IBF & IBO World heavyweight champion.
