Anthony Joshua ‘Will Knock Tyson Fury Out Cold’

Hulking heavyweight fighter, Anthony Joshua, will finish Tyson Fury if and when the British rivals finally come together in a boxing ring, providing he is “mentally ready.”

That is the assessment of one of the sport’s figureheads who knows AJ best, his former coach, Robert Garcia of the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy in Riverside, California.

Joshua and Fury have been linked with one another since, really, they turned professional at a similar time considering their potential and shared nationality.

The fight could be delivered in 2026 even though they could have boxed a trilogy by now, with Joshua’s career-long promoter, Eddie Hearn, saying recently Turki Alalshikh had mentioned a two-fight deal that would see the fighter box this summer, before the Battle of Britain later this year.

Joshua fights Kristian Prenga first on July 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fury, we’re to believe, will come right after.

Should the fight go ahead as planned, “Joshua has the skills and the power to win,” according to Garcia, who explained his position to ES News.

“He has the right hand to knock him out, but he has got to be mentally and physically 100%. Physically, I know that he is always ready, AJ is always in shape.

“He trains hard, he was dedicated when I was with him for a few months, but Fury is a street guy. He doesn’t give a f***. He could come in heavy, fat, but he is still a going to give a good fight.”

“That right-hand, if AJ lands, he will knock him out cold.”

Robert Garcia explains Anthony Joshua’s best method of success.

“[Fury] gets hit with a lot of right-hands,” Garcia finished.
