After another dominant victory that took social media by storm, the flashy Ben Whittaker is set for a quick return to the ring.
Whittaker was last in action earlier this month, where he stopped Khalid Graidia after five rounds at Wembley Arena, once again displaying the showboating antics that generates plenty of discussion on social media.
While fans seem split on whether it is disrespectful or impressive, the numbers appear to not lie, with promotional outfit Boxxer stating that Whittaker received nearly 200,000 new followers on Instagram during the seven days surrounding his fight.
It won’t be long until the 26-year-old has social media talking again, after it was announced that he would compete on the Fabio Wardley vs. Frazer Clarke undercard next month, live on Sky Sports.
The two men clash for the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles on Sunday 31 March at The O2 Arena, following a near one-year build-up.
Whittaker isn’t the only new addition to the card, after it was revealed that Alen Babic will make his return to the heavyweight division after his unsuccessful challenge for the WBC bridgerweight title last time out.
He will look to get back to winning ways when he goes up against towering figure Steve Robinson, while the undefeated Callum Simpson is also in action, and Florian Marku takes on Chris Kongo.
