Conor McGregor’s boxing coach Owen Roddy says his fighter is truly something special. Despite recent troubles with Paulie Malignaggi, Roddy says everything is going according to plan in training.
“Conor improves on a daily basis. The Conor of today is better than the Conor of yesterday. He gets better every day, every week. He is such a good student. He has a great ability to pick up on things. I don’t know how he does it. I’ve never seen it before from any student,” said Roddy in a recent interview with Sky Sports.
How true are these claims? We won’t find out until fight night when McGregor actually steps into a boxing ring and fights Floyd Mayweather. In the meantime, Coach Roddy says that the Irishman will continue to improve.
“From the start of camp to now, he has improved phenomenally and he will continue to improve over the next couple of weeks. It’s so exciting.”
However, Malignaggi revealed that McGregor isn’t actually improving that well and that might be a big problem come August 26th.
