As rumours continue to grow more people are giving their takes on the potential rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.
The two shared the ring in August last year but the rematch is rumoured to be happening in the UFC under MMA rules inside a steel cage.
UFC President Dana White confirmed that the rematch would only happen if Mayweather goes over to the UFC.
“Obviously, the only way making that fight again makes any sense is if he comes over to the Octagon. We went over and boxed him, the UFC and Conor McGregor. And now it’s time for him to reciprocate and come fight in the Octagon,” said White on UFC Tonight

Should the two combat sports superstars meet again, the general opinion regarding the winner favours McGregor undoubtedly. However, notable boxing coach Robert Garcia believes Mayweather could beat the Irishman in his own game.

”With his boxing skills, I think he can beat him. Now he’s giving us that hint. I wouldn’t be surprised.
“I think he’ll perform well, because he’s probably been training for the last three, four years,” Garcia told Fight Hype.
“He’s not going to come into the cage without any MMA skills. I think he still beats Conor with just his boxing skills. I’m sure he’s being trained in MMA, and he’ll have some skills before his fight.
“But it’ll be mostly his boxing skills,” he continued.
Mayweather-McGregor sold over 6 million pay-per-view buys world wide and became one of the biggest sporting events of 2017.
Not to the surprise of many Mayweather won the anticipated fight and stopped ‘The Notorious’ in the tenth round via technical knockout.
Reportedly McGregor has been eager and interested in a rematch ever since his loss in August.
The former two-weight UFC champion has confirmed that his next will be in the UFC.
“I’m currently in negotiations to face my next opponent. We have many options. There’s the current interim lightweight champion [Tony Ferguson], there’s an undefeated Dagestani [Khabib Nurmagomedov], maybe a big Russian event. There’s obviously the Nate Diaz trilogy.
“Of course, the Mayweather fight is there,” told McGregor to Adam Glyn.
