Boxing Social is pleased to announce an exclusive, free-to-air streaming deal with Al Siesta’s Siesta Boxing Promotions for their ‘Boxing Summer Ball’ show in Bracknell this Saturday 29th June.
The show, co-promoted by Melhus Promotions, features a series of well-matched undercard bouts, headlined by rising welterweight talent Luther Clay (11-1, 5 KO’s) in a ten round affair against unbeaten Eltham-born Ohio Kain (4-0), and will be available to watch for free in the U.K. on Boxing Social’s Facebookand YouTubeplatforms live from 7pm.
Promoter Al Siesta, a renowned manager and matchmaker who has worked from small-hall shows to pay-per-view events, said of the partnership:
“I am very excited to announce our new partnership with Boxing Social who, in my opinion, have become the most credible online boxing media outlet in the U.K.”
“Alongside our growing international television audience, working together with Boxing Social gives us the opportunity to share our ‘borderless’ approach of bringing international fights to the U.K. and offering a free, easy-to-use platform to reach boxing fans of all interests all over the country.”

With South African-born slickster Clay headlining in his adopted hometown of Bracknell for the fourth consecutive time, Siesta is confident in his young charge to put on a show for his growing local fanbase.
Buoyed by his home support, Clay will look to make a statement against relative unknown Kain, with Siesta hoping the recent deal with Boxing Social will provide the 23-year old with the perfect platform to showcase his skills and secure a bout with one of his domestic rivals.
“Luther Clay, despite his young age, has been making right noises domestically.” said Siesta.
“He has been known outside of the U.K. for sometime – boxing in Latvia, Georgia and Lithuania – and is known for always putting on an exciting performance. However, there is nothing quite like boxing in front of your own fans.
“Nobody wants to go anywhere near Luther over here [in the U.K.]. We approached a well-known, young ‘star’ – who I won’t name out of respect – and his team said that Luther was too much risk for too little reward.
“Now we have a free-to-air platform like Boxing Social, Luther will get the exposure he needs and we hope it will lead to the big fight he deserves in 2019: they can’t run from him forever!”
After Clay’s original opponent Meriton Karaxha was forced to withdraw due to visa issues, in stepped the unbeaten – and relatively unknown – Ohio Kain.
According to Siesta, the late-change in opposition could prove to be a potential banana skin for Clay, and warned his man against taking Kain lightly.
“Ohio Kain is an unbeaten fighter: he does not know how to lose.” said Siesta.
“He is also something of an unknown quantity, which is always dangerous. Luther has more experience, but Kain is hungry and he believes in himself. He is coming to win and Luther has to be switched on.
“After Karaxha had to pull out, Kain called me straight away and wanted the fight – he didn’t even ask what the purse was! He knows he is coming on to Luther’s turf, and is excited by it.
“That can only mean on thing on Saturday night: fireworks!”
Working alongside Norwegian promotional outfit Melhus Promotions, Saturday night’s undercard features fighters from all across Europe – with a “warrior trio” from the promoter’s homeland promising all-out action, according to Siesta.
“In association with our Norwegian partner Melhus Promotions, we are proud to introduce U.K. fans to our Norwegian “warrior trio”.
“We have unbeaten cruiserweight prospect Kevin Melhus (6-0, 3 KO’s) who will face tough Londoner Ossie Jervier (6-8, 5 KO’s) over six rounds, former amateur star Ingrid Egner who had some great fights with Katie Taylor in the unpaid ranks and is now 2-0 as a professional, and then we have Alexander Hagen (13-2-1, 6 KO’s) who is one of Norways most well-known fighters.
“Elsewhere on the card, another ex-amateur talent Jacob Gabriel makes his professional debut and will look to make a statement in his first paid bout.
We have a phenomenal blend of fighters from all sorts of different countries and backgrounds – it promises to be a completely unique night of boxing!” Siesta finished.
