Boxxer Accused Of Creating ‘Smokescreen’ With Adam Azim vs. Harlem Eubank

One boxing figure has criticised the decision making of both Ben Shalom and BOXXER for avoiding the Dalton Smith fight and announcing Adam Azim vs. Harlem Eubank despite the contest not being officially signed.

The EBU ordered Azim to defend his European title against British champion Smith a couple of months ago, but some fans believe that Azim’s team and management were not so keen on the thought of facing the Yorkshireman.

At the Fabio Wardley vs. Frazer Clarke card at the weekend, Azim entered the ring and shockingly faced off with Harlem Eubank, appearing to announce their fight, yet it has instead been confirmed that details of the contest are not yet finalised.

Speaking to Boxing Social, Sam Jones gunned for Shalom and explained why he and BOXXER are now vulnerable to being taken advantage of by Team Eubank.

“They need a smoke screen, a diversion, because it is a hail-mary of a duck. It really is. It’s an absolutely incredible duck from Boxxer to the Dalton Smith fight. Adam Azim, I guarantee you now, will want to fight Dalton Smith.”

“Ben [Shalom] was talking about how Dalton Smith is 27 and Adam Azim is 21, Harlem Eubank is 30? All you are doing is digging the hole even deeper, you are digging yourself a bigger hole. There’s no experience there whatsoever.

I’ll tell you what Chris Eubank Snr is going to do because the guy has been around the block and he knows how to deal with these situations. You’re telling me you [Ben Shalom] have announced the fight, you’ve got in the ring, had the face-off and the fight is not signed yet?”

“If I am looking after Harlem Eubank, I’m asking for a f***ing fortune to fight Adam Azim now. Whatever you offered me, I want more, I want double, you have already announced the fight!”

Meanwhile, Azim claims that he has signed for the Eubank fight, with a date and location yet to be formally announced.
