The Super Featherweight division, one of British Boxing’s most interesting weight classes, witnessed the birth of a fresh new rivalry today.
It all kicked off when British boxing great Carl Greaves questioned how exciting prospect Lyon Woodstock Jr. would fare against his fighter Sam Bowen on twitter today.
@boxnationtv funny thing is Bowen aint fought twice in one night in his life I knocked 2 lads out in one night in abas ๐๐๐

Tensions quickly boiled over after Carl questioned Lyon’s pedigree.
@boxnationtv I don't do this twitter business pal next time I see you come and call me a fool to my face ๐๐พ

Lyon is a fast rising prospect but he may have bitten off more than he can chew by calling out Greaves on Twitter.
Following his tweet, Carl was all too happy to remind the up and comer who he was talking to.
๐๐ you don't want me to put the gloves on again do you kid your holding my old belt now https://t.co/TqPdDS2YcT

Twitter drama aside, fight fans should be happy as it lays the foundations for an action packed clash between two of the nation’s best young fighters.
Sam Bowen, 10-0-0 (7 KOs), is one of the hottest prospects in British boxing at the moment. Promoted by Carl Greaves, he’s on the fast track to challenging for the British super-featherweight title.
Woodstock Jr, 9-0-0 (5 KOs), a fellow young hotshot, has garnered praise after turning in an exciting performance on the recent BT Sport boxing card.
