Kell Brook is in confident mood ahead of his British blockbuster against Amir Khan on Saturday night.
The former IBF welterweight champion attended today’s final press conference where the pair’s rivalry boiled over once again.
It will all come to a conclusion at the Manchester Arena and Brook is still surprised that the fight he has always wanted is happening.
“I didn’t believe it’d come off but we’re here now,” he told Boxing Social’s Andi Purewal.
Brook has had enough occasions to face-off against Khan including today but he dismissed any thought that he could see any fear in his opponent.
“I could tell that he wanted it, this fight,” said Brook. “I know that he’s going to come to bring it. All this is irrelevant. The thing is getting in there on Saturday night and exchanging blows together.”
The boxing community is seemingly split on who will win Saturday’s clash and virtually every possible winning scenario has been covered. Brook says he is ready for anything that comes his way.
“Whatever he comes to bring I’ll have an answer for. It could go in the first, it could go in the last, it could go 12 rounds but I’m ready for whatever happens in that ring on Saturday.”
