Undefeated super welterweight prospect, Caoimhin Agyarko, has had enough of Tyson Fury’s attempts at public negotiation.
The Irish fighter, who returns to the ring against Peter Dobson in November on a Katie Taylor undercard, took aim at ‘The Gypsy King’ as talks for a fight with Anthony Joshua falter and fade. He made his thoughts known on Twitter.
“Tyson fury is boring everyone now… Playing games for too long, everyone is sick of his sh*t [and he] is losing fans by the minute.”

Tyson Fury has now set two deadlines, both of which have been missed by Joshua and his team. Their response is that talks continue behind the scenes, and real fight contracts aren’t signed based on ultimatums delivered via Instagram. In response to a fan, Agyarko sided with ‘AJ’ and continued to criticise the champion.
“Fury is playing games, knowing putting deadlines on things are not going to help make the fight happen, when his team and AJ’s team are trying to make it happen. He’s too busy trying to wind people up and be a clown on social media.”

There was plenty of agreement from boxing fans, although there will be an equal sense of disappointment from those who believe Joshua’s team have held up the talks. Whichever side is to blame, or whether it’s both, the real loss is the potential of one of the biggest fights in the sport missing perhaps its only chance to be made.
As things stand, Fury has said he will face Mahmoud Charr for the WBC title, however Charr isn’t currently in the top 15 of the organisation’s rankings – a requirement for title defences. That may soon change if things remain silent on the Joshua front.
