British boxing legend Carl Froch has again hit out at YouTuber-turned-boxer, Jake Paul, following his recent win over Anderson Silva.
It comes after he said Paul was ‘pretending’ and ‘conning people’ on William Hill’s podcast last month. Froch made his most recent comments whilst appearing on his old rival George Groves’ podcast.
Froch and Groves met twice in the ring. ‘The Cobra’ won the first via a highly controversial ninth round stoppage, before sensationally knocking out Groves in their rematch at Wembley Stadium in May 2014.
After discussing their own rivalry, the Froch was horrified that Groves had handed him a list of boxers which included Jake Paul’s name. He tore it up.
“Jake Paul is a clown. Such a f***ing idiot. What a ponce. He’s not even a fighter. He shouldn’t be on this list. You’ve disgraced this list. It’s disgusting you have even put him on this list of boxers.”

Froch is clearly not a fan of Paul, 25. This is made clear by additional comments he made to William Hill where he said he wouldn’t have to train for ‘The Problem Child’ if the two did ever meet in the ring – although he was adamant that the American wouldn’t agree to such a bout.
Despite the amount of abuse he gets, Paul is yet to put a foot wrong in the ring. His best and biggest win came last time out against Silva, knocking the MMA legend down on his way to a unanimous decision victory in Glendale, Arizona.
Now looking to satisfy fans by proving himself against a legitimate professional boxer, Paul has openly stated that he wants Tommy Fury as his next opponent. The pair have already failed to make the fight happen on two occasions, but Paul was ringside to call Fury out after his recent performance in Dubai on the Floyd Mayweather vs Deji exhibition undercard.
