Much has been made about Chris Eubank Jr’s weight cut to 157lb, and it seems he’s finally employed a nutritionist to help. Spoiler alert – it’s Salt Bae and the mind games continue.
Despite all of the weight talk, as well as worries from his father, Eubank Jr has been having fun in the build-up and still enjoying his food. Whether a diet isn’t necessary or it’s all a way to confuse his opponent, it’s been entertaining.
His latest stunt involved viral star and restaurant owner, Salt Bae – a man famous for flamboyantly sprinkling salt onto huge cuts of meat. Junior officially named him fight nutritionist on Twitter, and sealed the deal by being fed.
Finding it hard to lose these last few lbs so I’ve decided to get a nutritionist in for my last week of weight cut before the fight this Saturday #SaltBae#60PercentBae#EubankJrBennpic.twitter.com/zCxPBpBkFh

We’re just days away from the weigh-in that will be an event only beaten for intrigue by the fight itself. Conor Benn has said that he thinks his opponent will miss the weight, but Eubank Jr has been adamant he’ll make the cut to 157lb fine. There’s work to do for Benn, too, who comes into the ring the much smaller man. Fans will be keen to see how close he bulks up to the limit, and how he carries himself after doing so.
Should Eubank come in heavy, big fines per pound and potential cancellation of the fight loom. It would be an incredible anti-climax as the hype for the event grows by the day – especially after all of these videos mocking the catchweight situation.
His social media antics come amidst the third call from his father, Chris Eubank Sr, to pull the ‘dangerous’ fight. Once expected to be in his son’s corner, it seems that Senior may not be in attendance at all.
