Claressa Shields recently clashed with one of her rivals at ringside in Las Vegas, and now, the self-proclaimed ‘G.W.O.A.T.’ has taken things one step further, dropping a ‘diss track’ on her enemy.
Shields got into a heated argument with Alycia Baumgardner following Richardson Hitchins’ victory over Gustavo Lemos, with a clip showing Shields’ intentions of accepting a bout with the undisputed 130lb champion at 154lbs, whilst ‘The Bomb’ maintained that she’d face her undefeated foe at 147lbs.
The likelihood of ever seeing the fight is minimal, due to the monumental five-weight disparity between the respective undisputed super-featherweight and middleweight champions.
Still, that didn’t stop Shields gunning for Baumgardner, dropping a ‘diss track’ onto YouTube with lyrics that included calling her fellow American a ‘bum’ and labelling her as ‘dirty’, after a recently failed drug test.
“Tryna come for me? At least you come harder,
You reap what you sow, you’re nothing but a Bum-gardner [Baumgardner],
Hater – even on your best day, you couldn’t hurt me,
What I look like cutting 30 for? A b***h that drops dirty.”
Shields went on to finish the song by adding that she would be willing to cross over and fight Baumgardner on her own platform, if the event was deemed unworthy of being pay-per-view.
“Think you can take me off of my throne?
It don’t matter if we settle it [on] pay-per-view or DAZN!”
Although Shields remains as the undisputed champion at 160lbs, her focus may soon turn to Savannah Marshall once again but this time in MMA, after the Briton announced her move to and debut in the PFL.
