Anthony Joshua will collide with Joseph Parker in a highly anticipated unification showdown on March 31st at The Principality Stadium.
Joshua will put his WBA, IBO and IBF world heavyweight titles on the line while Parker will be putting forth the WBO title for the showdown.
Someone who possesses a unique insight into how that matchup is likely to go would be Carlos Takam. The heavyweight contender has battled both Joshua and Parker, he was on the losing side on both occasions.
He lost a decision verdict to New Zealand’s Parker while he was stopped in the eleventh round of his battle against Anthony Joshua at The Principality Stadium in late October.
While dissecting both the combatants who are set to collide on March 31st, Takam was complimentary of both.
Furthermore, Takam shared that he feels Parker has the edge in the speed department, but Joshua possesses the advantage in the strength and power conversation.
“The guy has speed, a lot of speed. I think his speed is faster than Joshua,” said Takam to Sky Sports.
“Joshua is strong, but Parker’s speed is faster than Joshua and we’re going to see what is going to happen in the fight – speed or strength.
“For me, those two are the best. I have respect for Parker, I have respect for Joshua.
For me, they are two good fighters, two good boxers, two good champions.”
After the fight, maybe I want to come to Britain to fight,” Takam said.

Takam also shared that he will be looking at securing a fight with the WBC ‘Silver’ heavyweight title holder, Dillian Whyte moving forwards.
“After my fight, I’m going to see what I’m going to do.
Maybe I’m going to make one big fight after my fight in April. I would like to fight Dillian Whyte, yes.”
