According to World Boxing News, Conor McGregor has officially applied for a boxing license. The Nevada State Athletic Commission’s Executive Director Bob Bennett confirms that the Irishman is making moves to get his paper work in order to fight in Las Vegas.
“Conor has submitted an application for a boxing license. We are currently waiting for his supporting documents,” said Bennett.
The commission will go through McGregor’s application with ‘minimum fuss’ according to World Boxing News. They are making sure that everything will be in order if and when Floyd Mayweather gives his answer.
‘Team Money’ has been busy with Gervonta Davis and his first title defense against Liam Walsh in London this weekend. Instead of answering questions about fighting McGregor, Mayweather has been stirring up other issues.
It is expected that Mayweather will announce his participation to fight McGregor after he returns from London next week.
