A fight between WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford and Kell Brook has reportedly been agreed for November 14.
The location will either be Las Vegas or Crawford’s hometown of Omaha, according to Mike Coppinger of The Athletic, as Brook fights in the US for the first time since unseating Shawn Porter for the IBF 147lbs crown way back in August 2014. Vegas is the more likely destination.
Brook (39-2, 27 KOs) will be dropping down in weight after a stop-start campaign at 154lbs, but has shed the excess weight easily as he takes one last crack at the big time.
Pound-for-pound star Crawford (36-0, 27 KOs) will earn over $4million for the fourth defence of his WBO crown whilst Brook will pocket around $2million, according to Coppinger.
It will be Crawford’s first fight since derailing the ‘Mean Machine’ Egidijus Kavaliauskas (WTKO9) in Las Vegas last December. Sheffield’s Brook was last in action KOing Mark DeLuca in seven rounds in February.
