Following Conor McGregor’s professional boxing debut in August against the 5-weight world champion, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather.
It was always maintained by both McGregor and the head of the UFC, Dana White that he would return to the UFC following that fight.
Dana White has now shared for the first time, that he is unsure if ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor will ever make a return to the cage and compete in the UFC.
“Money changes everything,” White said. “He may never fight again. He has got $100 million in the bank. It’s tough to get punched in the face every day when you’ve got $100 million.”

White admitted that he doesn’t regret letting his prize asset make a foray into the sport of boxing, despite it being a major contributing factor towards him not having the appetite to have another fight in the UFC.
“We’re all in this business to make money,” White added.
Furthermore, yesterday Conor McGregor was supposedly involved in a barroom brawl with an associate of a gangster in Dublin, Ireland.
Police are inspecting CCTV footage surrounding the incident. White has however dismissed the suggestions as pure speculation at this point.
“I don’t think it’s true. If it was, it would be bigger news,” White said.
“Conor can walk down the street and it’s big news. If it’s true, I’m sure we’ll find out.”
While White would, of course, like his prized asset to continue fighting under the UFC banner, he ridiculed the interim champion, Tony Ferguson’s demands that McGregor returns to the cage to defend his title or otherwise vacate that title.
“Ferguson has no business to talk about anything,” White said in a dismissive fashion.
“We ain’t taking direction from Tony Ferguson,” White concluded.
