With the victory, Dubois has now claimed the Southern Area Heavyweight Title after his third round stoppage of the previously undefeated DL Jones.
It was clear from the get go DL Jones was loading up, looking to land a big shot.
Dubois wisely started cautiously and was content to pepper him from a distance with a ramrod jab.
Dubois also demonstrated the difference in class as he could land his combinations at will.

Multiple thudding shots took their toll and had Jones badly fatigued by the third round. Dubois found sustained success with his uppercuts and chopping right hand.
The referee called a halt to the beating during the final minute of the third round. Jones had been sent tumbling to the canvas after being on the end of some heavy handed head shots.
Elsewhere, WBO intercontinental and European light heavyweight champion Anthony Yarde moved to 15-0 after he retired Frenchman Tony Averlant on his stool after seven rounds for the fourteenth knockout of his professional career.
The action of the night began with Yarde the ever present aggressor looking to get on the inside.
Averlant adopted the classic boxing style and found some success behind his jab and a snapping right hand.

However, the power on the punches could not command the respect of Yarde who kept applying pressure.
Averlant landed the occasional solid blow but Yarde controlled the pace and tempo of the bout measuring Averlant with his jab.
Yarde made his first pivotal breakthrough in the fight in the sixth stanza. ‘The Beast’ landed a chilling left hook on the button which sent the Frenchman withering toward the canvas.
He rose to his feet, a game contender but Yarde showed why he warrants the no. 3 position in the WBO rankings as he displayed his killer instinct. Yarde once again felling Averlant with a fusilade of blows to the body and head.
Averlant barely survived the round and resembled the picture of defeat as the round came to an end.

The seventh round began and the writing was already on the wall for Averlant. It was target practice for Yarde as he put together some thudding blows on Averlant who was basically out on his feet following the sixth.
The Frenchman’s corner decided to pull him out of the fight following the seventh to save their man from taking anymore punishment.
