Daniel Dubois is looking to put on a show in Miami next month.
The British heavyweight takes on Trevor Bryan at the city’s Casino Miami Jai Alai in the main event of Don King’s promotion which will be shown live on BT Sports in the UK.
While Oleksandr Usyk is the current ‘super’ champion with the WBA their secondary championship will be defended by Bryan for the second time following his first defence against Jonathan Guidry in January.
“No pressure, it is in Miami and that is the place to be,” said Dubois in a Queensbury press release.
“I can’t wait to get out there and put on a show. I am not at all fazed by being the away or home fighter, I am just going to take this opportunity with both hands.”
‘Dynamite’ Dubois has 16 wins inside the distance from 18 fights. The powerful fists of the 24-year-old and his frustrations waiting on this fight to be made could mean trouble for Bryan come fight night.
“It has been frustrating, so I am glad to get it on, finally.
“I will definitely take it out on him with controlled aggression, that’s what works. I want to go in there to put on a boxing display and make a statement.
“I’ve got all the experience needed to succeed now and it is up to me to apply it, be myself and go out there and just devastate him.”
