Daniel Jacobs is now the mandatory challenger to Gennady Golovkin’s WBA world middleweight title.
The Brooklyn fighter did not have it all his own way and was pushed all the way as he claimed a unanimous decision on the scorecards.
The three judges scorecards read verdicts of 116-111, 117-110 and 115-112 in favour of ‘The Miracle Man’
Sulecki came out aggressively boxing cautiously at mid range with Jacobs.
The unproven fighter showed a sign of things to come as he began finding his mark with right hands in the fight’s opening stanza.

Sulecki was an ever present aggressor, wasn’t overawed by the occasion very tight and astute defensively.
This forced Jacobs into seriously having to formulate a plan in his mind during the feeling out process over the first three rounds.
Jacobs began sinking some venemous left hooks into Sulecki’s side as Jacobs began to showcase his power in the third round.
In the fourth, Jacobs tried to take the fight from a boxing match to a gutter war as he began planting his feet in front of Sulecki and opening up with big shots with both hands.

Jacobs’ sustained attack had his unbeaten foe back peddling after taking a barrage on the ropes.
Jacobs held the centre of the ring in the fifth as he began grasping a firm hold of the fight.

Jacobs was taking his time working carefully behind his jab and finding his mark with crisp combination punching to the body and head.
Both men opened up with big bombs as the round came to an end and motioned at one another to come on following the bell.

It seemed Jacobs was intent at this stage, on providing the Brooklyn crowd with a knockout victim.
Sulecki was game and had ambitions of winning until the bitter end and displayed his tenacity as Jacobs looked to open up more and trade the leather as they came into the second half of the fight.
Jacobs continued to have trouble in the eighth round as Sulecki’s awkward European style of fighting continued to upset ‘The Miracle Man’s timing.
A ramrod jab from the undefeated Pole peppered the New York fighter and caused some serious swelling around the eyes of Jacobs.
The undefeated Pole claimed the 7th and 8th creating a potentially problematic scenario for Jacobs as we entered the final quarter of the fight.

Both delivered a good body of work in a very entertaining battle during the ninth.
Sulecki continued to fight back gamely and as the entertaining fight came down the stretch in the tenth.
Sulecki continued to find his mark with combinations.
That’s not without Jacobs drawing blood from the Pole’s nose in a very calculative fight.
Jacobs who had been having trouble finding his mark with one of his signature bombs but 20 seconds into the final round he finally found his opening.
He masterfully planted a right hand on the point of Sulecki’s chin as the miracle man was stepping into the punch.

Sulecki showed the heart of a game fighter however and came at Jacobs yet again with tenacity.
Looking to throw punches in bunches to make up for a costly knockdown on the scorecards.
The story of the fight was while the Pole was very cute with his work and snapping the head back of Jacobs.
But all night, Jacobs had looked the more menacing because of the one punch power at his disposal.
Following the fight, Jacobs paid respects to his game foe and additionally hinted that he will be looking at securing a fight against the young and dangerous WBC mandatory challenger, Jermall Charlo if he cannot secure his sought after goal of a rematch with Gennady Golovkin.

“He was a tough customer.”
“I came prepared for everything he had.”
Jacobs said it was intention to seek the knockout; “I was trying to go for the knockout because the fans wanted a good show.”
“I thought I done very well to grab a unanimous decision
“My corner told me I was up so I was confident going into the last round.”
“I didn’t feel his power that it shook me up but he definitely showed he has power and grit and belongs at middleweight.”
“Ultimately, we want the guys with the belts. If we can’t get them, we will go down the list.
